brad and jenni’s first date was at a roller skating rink with group of friends… so when we were coming up with ideas for their engagement session, jenni thought it would be fun to go back to where everything began. we definitely got a few weird looks (in fact, i’m pretty sure when we said we were taking engagement photos, one of the roller rink employees thought brad had just proposed)… but we had a ton of fun putting on skates and getting a few pictures under the disco ball.

after that excitement, we headed downtown grand rapids to take advantage of the beautiful spring weather we’ve been having lately…

A few fun things to read/see/do and look forward to this weekend…

My all-time favorite magazine is printing a special edition in April after saying “farewell” in January 2009. You can bet I’ll be standing in line at Barnes and Noble to buy my copy next month. Woot.

If you are a list-maker… you’re gonna love this app. I use it to keep track of everything… books I want to read, restaurants to visit, groceries to buy, recipes to try… and you can update your lists from your phone and computer.

I’m not a mom, and no… I’m not pregnant, but I just finished this book about French parenting and found it just fascinating. The WSJ published an excerpt from the book if you’d like to get a taste.

And finally, if you haven’t already jumped on the Downton Abbey train, hurry up. I just finished season 2 and it’s a-mazing.
